Please remember - proofs are property of Cripe Photography until they are purchased!
Ordering
Q: Do I need to pre-pay? Can I order photos after pre-pay?
A: Pre-paying is not required, but is strongly encouraged. During the pre-pay period we are able to offer a discount, plus pre-pay orders are delivered directly to the school so no shipping costs are incurred. Once the pre-pay period ends, standard pricing and products will be available several weeks after photo day when you receive your photo proof. Proofs will be sent to the school and distributed to students 4-6 weeks after the photo day and will include a link to order online at our regular prices.
Q: How do I find my receipt?
A: If you are searching for your receipt or a digital download, it will come from Cripe Photography, ImageQuix, or H&H ImageHost (for yearbooks).
Q: Why can’t I see my student’s photo?
A: Images can be viewed a few weeks after photos are captured. Images will be hidden briefly for a few days before retake day.
Q: When will I receive my digital download? How do I get another code for a digital download if it has expired?
A: Digital downloads will be released a week or two before print photos are delivered to the school. If your code has expired and you need a link resent, please fill out our customer service form below.
Q: Will pricing or products change after the pre-pay period ends?
A: Yes. Bulk ordering from our lab during the pre-pay period allows us to offer reduced pricing and free shipping to the school. Once the pre-pay period ends, regular pricing resumes and any orders will require shipping.
Q: How do I combine shipping when ordering for multiple students?
A: If you are ordering after the prepay period and are shipping to home, you can combine shipping for two or more underclass students when ordering at the same time. To open another student’s gallery, click “View Another Gallery” to the right of the shopping cart icon, located in the top right corner (click the shopping cart if necessary). If an online access code is required, enter your child’s student ID. If you have clicked the email link for multiple students already, you will be able to toggle between galleries when selecting the head and shoulders icon. NOTE: Sports and Senior photos cannot be combined with underclass.
Q: How do I restore a photo that has been archived, or order past year photos?
A. There is a $25 fee to access a past year photo, which you will receive as a credit toward any purchase in the online gallery - including digital downloads - if we can find your student’s photo. If for some reason we cannot access the photo your $25 will be refunded. Please allow at least three business days (longer in the fall) for responses regarding a past year photo. Please fill out this form to unlock an archived photo.
The archive access is only for a single image (the yearbook pose). For seniors wishing to view all of their images, there is an additional fee.
Q: It says that I need a code to order. What does that mean and where do I find it?
A: In most cases the online code will be your child’s student ID. If the student ID does not work or you need that information for sports photos, please fill out our customer service form below. If you do not know the student ID, it can often be found in Power School or Skyward.
Q: How can I personalize an item?
A: If an item is available for personalization or cropping, you have the option to personalize on the screen immediately after selecting your photo.
To crop, select “Adjust Image” below the photo example. To change the text, select the Edit button by “Add Text.” Then you may personalize your student’s name before adding the item to the cart.
If an item is in your cart, you may make changes by selecting “Edit.”
Q: If I purchase retouching for my photo, will it be retouched in the yearbook?
A: Yes. When a photo is retouched, and retouching is ordered before the yearbook deadline, the retouched photo is the one used for the yearbook. Deadlines are generally January for elementary schools, and mid-October for middle and high schools. For seniors, if retouching was purchased for a different photo than the one chosen for the yearbook, then the yearbook pose will not be retouched.
Retakes / New Photos
Q: My child needs a photo taken on retake day. What do I need to do?
A: There is no sign-up necessary to retake photos. If you have placed an order and are requesting a retake, students must bring the original picture envelope and all contents to the photographer so that we may reprint new photos. The entire original picture packet must be returned. Students who would like a retake should let their teachers know they need a photo taken so they can be sent down to the photographer.
For families that ordered a digital download only, your child does not need a packet or other information for a retake. Have your child tell the photographer (or hand her a note) that they received digital images. Please have your student let the teacher know they need a photo taken so they can be sent down to the photographer.
If you did not place an order, your student does not need to bring anything to retake day. You will receive a new proof of the photo soon after retake day, with a link for ordering.
Students who missed photo day will be automatically called down to have their picture taken. If you placed an order and your student missed the original photo day, your order will be processed once their photo is taken.
Q: My child is new and we missed both photo days. Can they be in the yearbook?
Q: I didn’t like the retake photo. Can I have a retake of the retake?
Q: My student struggles with photo day. Is there a way to have extra time with the photographer?
A: Yes to all of these! Our studio location (45 North Main Street in downtown Zionsville) is open to any student who would like a new picture or retaken picture:
As long as your photo is taken by winter break, we can include you in an elementary school yearbook.
We can always accommodate retakes. We will reprint any ordered photos as long as all contents of the picture package are returned.
Our studio is quiet with plenty of space and no pressure, so students and parents can utilize whatever extra time is needed to capture a photo that you’ll treasure.
Please fill out this form if you would like to schedule an in-studio session. We are generally open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Seniors
Q: Can I preorder senior photos?
A: No, senior images cannot be preordered because we take multiple photos of each senior. This lets parents select exactly which pose (or poses) they would like to order. Proofs of senior images are usually emailed within 36 hours of photos being taken.
Q: How do I view the images from the senior photo session?
A: You will be sent an automated email with a link to view the images once they are available.
Q: What is the dress code?
A: The ZCHS dress code for senior photos requires that ladies wear a dressy top (no spaghetti straps) and gentlemen wear a dressy collared shirt (ties/jackets are recommended but optional). No wording or graphics are permitted. PLEASE NOTE: Seniors may be sent home and required to pay a new booking fee if dressed inappropriately.
THS seniors may not wear graphic t-shirts, hoodies, tube tops, or tank tops.
Q: What is the deadline for seniors to be photographed?
A: All 2027 ZCHS seniors must be photographed at our studio before October 8 in order to appear in the yearbook. Seniors may choose which yearbook photo they prefer as long as a selection is made by October 18 for ZCHS or September 30 for THS.
Q: How do I select a yearbook pose?
A. Go to the gallery through the link emailed with your senior photos. Select “Choose Yearbook.” Select your preferred image, click confirm and you’re done! If you have not made your selection, a red checkmark will be displayed next to “Choose Yearbook.” Once your selection is made, the checkmark will disappear.
NOTE: You may not select an image with a cap and gown. If a cap and gown pose is selected, our staff will choose another option.
Q: What happens if I don’t make a yearbook selection?
A. If you do not make a yearbook selection by the deadline, our staff will select a pose for you.
Q: I don’t see availability on your website? How do we book a session?
A: Yearbook-only sessions for 2027 ZCHS seniors will be available from mid-June 2026 through October 8, 2026. If you do not see an available date that works with your schedule, please continue to check back. We open dates roughly two weeks in advance.
PLEASE NOTE: Fall athletes and students with busy fall activities are strongly encouraged to schedule in the summer before school starts.
Q: I received a message that photos are July 27 and 28? Do I still need a senior session?
A. Yes - ID photos are taken at the high school during back-to-school days (July 27 & 28, 2026). Seniors must attend one of those dates AND schedule a yearbook photo session separately.
Q: Are all seniors required to have their photos taken at your studio?
A: Zionsville Community High School seniors must schedule a yearbook-only appointment in the studio in order to appear in the yearbook. You can schedule your appointment here.
Graduations
Q: When will my graduation order be delivered? How are they delivered?
A: Graduation proofs will be sent via email to registrants’ information 48-72 hours after the event. An email was sent May 1 to all families whose email address we have on file. If you do not receive the email and would like to add your name to the email list for your student, please contact us.
All orders will be shipped directly to your home. Please allow 10-14 business days for the lab to process your order.
Yearbooks
Q. The yearbook link is not active. How do I order a yearbook?
A. Yearbooks orders are taken roughly between January and mid-March each year. Information will come directly from the school.
Q. When will my student receive their yearbook?
A. Yearbooks are delivered to each school near the end of the school year. The schools determine when they are distributed to students, but often it is the final week of school.
Q. I forgot to order a yearbook. Can I still buy one?
A. Yearbooks are only available for purchase between January and mid-March. We rarely retain additional copies, but you are welcome to check if it has been within the past several years.
Q: How do I order a middle school or high school yearbook?
A. We offer elementary school yearbooks only. For high school or middle school yearbooks please contact your school’s front office.
Composites
Q: The package I ordered included a composite but I did not receive it with the rest of my prints. When will I receive my class composite?
A: Class composites are delivered in late winter, after all images and class information have been finalized and verified with the school.
